Advanced Dental Services & Technology Riverdale
Bringing Technological Innovations to Our Riverdale Patients
Dentistry is a continually evolving field – one that requires dentists to stay informed about the latest advancements if they want to give their patients the best possible experience. Our team at My Riverdale Dentist is committed to this effort, which is why you’ll find us investing in the latest technologies and engaging in valuable research to ensure you and your family receive dental care that is second to none. Using primitive methods is no longer how we operate; instead, we use updated techniques that promote accuracy, precision, comfort, and reduced recovery times. Take a look at the technologies we provide in-house and call us to learn more.
Intraoral Camera

A visual examination is a normal part of any dental checkup; however, the eyes only see a limited area. Unfortunately, this means bacteria and decay can go undetected in various crevices. However, with the intraoral camera, we can create a clearer view of your teeth and gums. As a handheld, camera-tipped device, we can scan the inside of your mouth, capturing multiple images that are displayed in real time on a chairside monitor. Here, you can see exactly what our team sees, allowing us to explain our findings and discuss ways to treat problem areas. With this type of technology, you no longer have to remain in the dark.
Digital X-Rays

Dentists need to be able to see more than just the visible areas of your smile – those that exist above the gumline. Dental decay, damage, and infection can reside in places unseen by the naked eye, which is why we use digital X-rays to capture high-resolution images that produce a more comprehensive view of your oral anatomy. Unlike radiographs of the past that took up much of a patient’s appointment time and emitted high levels of radiation, digital X-rays are much safer and take only seconds to produce quality images that we can use for more accurate diagnostics.
Soft Tissue Laser

When treating diseased tissues along the gumline, our team can use a soft tissue laser to ensure a more comfortable approach. While common dental instruments can deliver a similar result, the precision our laser emits ensures all healthy tissues remain untouched. Not to mention, it cauterizes and sanitizes the area so that you experience minimal bleeding, reduced swelling, and a lowered risk of post-treatment infection. Also, with its level of accuracy and efficiency, it’s unlikely you’ll require local anesthesia before starting treatment.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Dental anxiety is something patients of all ages can experience, and it’s usually brought on by past trauma or a dislike for the sights and sounds commonly found in a dentist’s office. Instead of making it harder for individuals to get the care they need because of a fear they possess, we aim to address it with nitrous oxide sedation. As a mild form of treatment that helps patients relax during an appointment, it allows our team to administer necessary services that are designed to ensure better oral health and a more beautiful smile.
